The undisputed king of couture in the Indian region, Sabyasachi Mukherjee has announced a global collaboration with fashion brand H&M. The collaboration will most probably hit stores across India as well as selected flagship stores around the world on April 16.
The founder of Sabyasachi, Mukherjee announced the news with fans on social media.
“I am happy to announce the collaboration with H&M as it allows us the opportunity to share the Sabyasachi aesthetic to a wider audience in India and worldwide,” said Mukherjee in an interview with Vogue India.
The designer further shared, “Having done couture for the majority of my career, it is very exciting to bring that finesse and craft to ‘ready-to-wear’ and to create whimsical and fluid silhouettes that bring relaxed sophistication to everyday life.”
Sabyasachi is known as the bridal designer of choice for Bollywood stars and India’s wealthy elite and this collaboration with H &M, will take the brand across the globe, bringing a quintessentially Indian aesthetic to global fashionistas.
