3 Pakistani films to release side by side in October
The ban on Indian films in Pakistan has contributed negatively to the barely thriving cinema industry in the country. Although en route its revival, the Pakistani film industry is currently not producing enough films to keep the cinema houses in the country afloat. And even when Hollywood releases have majorly filled the gap over time and Eid ul Azha bringing three major releases in Pakistan, the cinema industry hasn’t really managed to earn big monies this year.
However, October brings about the release of three Pakistani films, spanned over the month with intervals. The releases lined up for the next month include:
Kaaf Kangana
Directed, produced and written by veteran writer Khalil ur Rehman Qamar, Kaaf Kangana is a project backed up ISPR and is focused on an unrequited story of love between India and Pakistan. The cross border love story stars Sami Khan and Eshal Alam in the lead and releases on 25th October all over Pakistan.

Durj
Now, Durj will be a film that will tap a taboo subject in Pakistan. The film is set to release across UAE and Pakistan and will revolve around the story of two cannibals, living away from settlements and satiating their hunger on corpses. Durj’s story has been inspired by a real-life incident that shook Pakistan and stars Shamoon Abbasi, Sherry Shah, Maira Khan, and Noman Khan in never seen before avatars. The film releases 18th October all over.
Daal Chawal

Paying tribute to the Pakistani armed forces and the police, upcoming film Daal Chawal, starring new talent Ahmad Sufiyan, Momina Iqbal alongside Salman Shahid and veteran actor Shafqat Cheema. Produced and scripted by DIG Akbar Nasir Khan, Daal Chawal is set to release all over Pakistan on the 4th of October.
All the films release in cinemas across the country with regular intervals. Now, it waits to be seen whether or not, the three Pakistani films will end up the dry spell that has been surrounding the cinema industry in the country ever since the ban on Indian films. Will these films manage to add to the footfall or fall flat on the box office after the Eid releases, waits to be seen.
