Angelina Jolie to star in revenge thriller ‘The Kept’
Angelina Jolie fan? Then it’s a good news for you. Jolie is will be starring in the upcoming period revenge thriller film, ‘The Kept’. Angelina Jolie will also be producing this will in collaboration with Imperative Entertainment.
This film will be based on 2014 novel, written by James Scott and originally published by Harper Collins Publications. The rights for making a film on this novel has been recently bought by Imperative Entertainment. According to the media reports Alice Birch will be penning the adaptation for the screen play.
Based on the novel, the story will be set in the winter of 1897, following a trio if killers. Who, originate from an isolated farm in upstate New York. The movie is going to show a woman who will return to her home, only to discover that her husband and four children are murdered. However, she finds Caleb, her 12-year-old son alive. Who, has somehow survived by hiding himself in the kitchen pantry. He remains by her side until she finds out the men responsible for all this.
Jolie’s last on screen appearance was in 2015’s By The Sea. She will be returning back with the Disney’s Maleficent 2, which is reported to open in 2020.
Currently the 41-year-old actress is being reported to be shooting Come Away, a drama that combines Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland. Being directed by Berenda Chapman, this film does not have a distributor yet.
Angelina Jolie is also lending her voice for Disney’s CG/live-action hybrid, The One and Only Ivan, that will be released on the studio’s streaming service in 2019.
