Marvel fans were extremely devastated because of the disturbing ending of Avengers: Infinity War. But followed by that, a number of fan theories have surfaced over the internet in past weeks. The most popular, yet sensible one is Captain Marvel theory.
Captain Marvel has been teased as the most powerful character of Marvel Cinematic Universe to date. This has made fans think that she might be the one who would defeat Thanos.
We did know that Captain Marvel is going to be a part of Avengers 4, even before her solo movie was announced, as the photos from shoot were revealed earlier this year. However, since Captain Marvel is allegedly the most powerful superhero in Marvel Cinematic Universe, theories came pouring in that she might be the one defeating Thanos, which would eventually make her a major part of the film.
But things have been heard the other way around, too. A Reddit user shared that in the solo movie, Captain Marvel might become the victim of Thanos and his infinity snap but that might happen in the POST-CREDITS scene, and the story will be continued in Avengers 4. Well? That sounds pretty far-fetched but who knows. I mean, after Infinity War and its not so expected ending, Marvel must not plan another movie with such devastating climax!
However, since Avengers 4 is probably going to mark the final appearance of Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. as Captain America and Iron man respectively, it is pretty obvious that Captain Marvel simply can’t be the only one saving the day.
Captain Marvel will arrive in cinemas on March 8, 2019 in the UK and the US, with Avengers 4 set for release in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019 and US cinemas on May 3, 2019.
