Christopher Nolan’s Tenet to break the tradition as it will open in 70 countries before US release

Christopher Nolan’s Tenet will be released in over 70 countries starting August 26, before its US opening.

AT&T Inc’s Warner Bros. movie studio said on Monday that the film will debut in cinemas in over 70 countries starting Aug. 26 and will be released in selected US cities over the Labor Day weekend.

The movie was initially scheduled for July 17 and then August 12 but was delayed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The movie starring Robert Pattinson and John David Washington however may have an interesting fate as it will be released outside the US first and break the tradition.

Tenet is a science-fiction spy drama that also features Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Kenneth Branagh, from the British director of hits like The Dark Knight Rises and Inception. Little has been revealed about the plot.
