It seems like Disney already has the king of the box office for the next summer. As the company has released the latest trailer of its upcoming live-action film “Lion King”, it has generated a massive response.
In 24 hours, the trailer has received 224.6 million global views, making it the second most viewed trailer from any studio in that specific time frame.
Overwhelmed with the response, Disney has published a thankful note for the Lion King fans on its social media accounts, including twitter and Instagram.
The Disney Studio’s post says, “To our entire pride: Thank you for helping the teaser trailer for #TheLionKing become the most-viewed Disney trailer debut ever as it reached a record-breaking 224.6 million global views in 24 hours!”
A remake of the 1994 hit, The Lion King, the movie features voice performances from a star-studded cast, which includes names such as Donald Glover, Beyonce, John Oliver and Seth Rogen.
The film has been written by Jeff Nathanson with music by the award-winning composer Hans Zimmer. Directed by Jon Favreau, The Lion King releases on 19th July 2019.
