Pakistan recently saw the release of the animated movie The Donkey King on October 13th and ever since its release, the film has seen no sign of slowing down.
The Donkey King has entered its second week of release and has made a total of PKR 8.5 crores (courtesy box office detail) on the box office, becoming the highest Pakistani animated grosser of all time.
The crown was earlier held by 3 Bahadur: The Revenge of Baba Balam with a total of 8.1 crores but now, The Donkey King has conveniently broken the 3 Bahadur record.
The Donkey King, produced by Talisman Studios, directed by Aziz Jindani stars Afzal Khan aka Jan Rambo as Mangu, Hina Dilpazeer as Fitna Lomri amongst other leading actors who lend voice to various characters in the film, including Javed Sheikh, Ismail Tara, Shafaat Ali and also Faisal Qureshi.
