Is Dostana 2 in the works?

You all know just how much you loved the movie ‘Dostana’ and danced to ‘maa ta ladla bigar gaya’, well guess what? Dostana 2 is in the works now! Yes, you heard that right, according to Mumbai Mirror, Karan Johar is currently busy finalizing the cast and script of Dostana 2 with an entirely new cast of actors.

Dostana 2 is one project being discussed since 2010 after the super hit release of Dostana 1 at the box office and it finally looks like the all the odds are in favour and the sequel is finally happening. Multiple rumors have been circulating for a long time that the director Tarun Mansukhani had narrated a few ideas for the script of Dostana 2 to Karan Johar of of which he did not approve. However, finally one idea has both the director Tarun and Karan in agreement and they’re all set to start shooting.

As excited as we are for the sequel, it is, however, sad that we wont be seeing the same actors in the sequel again, let alone the amazing chemistry of Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, but we’re sure that Karan Johar has A-list Bollywood actors and actresses roped in for the roles and we shall not be disappointed.

Sources close to the director reveals that the movie script will be finalized by the end of this year and the sequel will be released next year. Until then, stay tuned and stay connected for more updates!
