Film Solo: A Star Wars Story, is all set to make its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival

Are you Star Wars series fan? May the force be with you! Get ready to board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in new film Solo: A Star Wars Story, which is ready to hit the theatres on 25th May.

New official full length trailer of the film was released providing a glimpse at what this movie will be offering to watch. The film’s premiere will take place on May 15 at Cannes Film Festival, where Star Wars: A New Hope first premiered in 1977.

This is an upcoming American space western film centered on Han Solo, a character from the Star Wars franchise directed by Ron Howard and produced by Lucas film with a screenplay by Jonathan and Lawrence Kasdan, distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. This film is going to be the 2nd Star Wars anthology film, following the 2016 film Rogue One.

In this film actor Alden Ehrenreich will be seen playing the iconic Han Solo stepping into big shoes of Harrison Ford, who has played Solo in the Star Wars saga.


Han Solo will meet his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounter the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian. Known to music fans as Childish Gambino, Donald Glover will be playing another iconic role of the flat chatting gambler Lando Calrissian. Emilia Clarke will be taking the role of Qi’ra, Solo’s glamorous love interest and childhood friend. Other star cast includes Woody Harrelson who will be playing Solo’s mentor and father figure, the criminal Tobias Beckett. Paul Bettany will be featuring as Dryden Vos, a scarred crime lord and antagonist for Solo to faceoff with.

The director himself has been keeping all the fans updated about the film happenings, he tweeted about the film’s post production work has been all wrapped up. All set up for 25th May release.

Let’s get set and wait for its release, as the director says that the film is generating positive reviews from private screenings before making its world premiere at Cannes this year.
