Gal Gadot will play ‘Cleopatra’ directed by Patty Jenkins for Paramount, it has been confirmed now.

And it seems like a reunion for the actress with her “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins with this historic drama.

As being reported, Paramount Pictures have won the rights for the project by defeating the other heavy contenders for the film including Apple, Universal, Warner Bros., and Netflix.

Gadot by playing “Cleopatra”, the legendary queen of Egypt, in the upcoming film will be joining the Hollywood greats Claudette Colbert and Elizabeth Taylor who previously essayed the role.

meanwhile, Laeta Kalogridis “Shutter Island”, is all set to write the screenplay for the Paramount’s Cleopatra.

Let’s wait to find out how this new take on the classic film turns out to be.

For those who didn’t know, 1963’s Cleopatra was a huge-budget film of 31.12 million USD, because of which 20th Century Fox nearly went bankrupt.
