Sarmad Sultan Koohsat’s Zindagi Tamasha is not the only flick to bag the award at South Korean Busan International Film Festival, Pakistani Filmmaker Hamza Bangash’s debut flick has also won big at the BIFF.
Pakistani Filmmaker had submitted his debut film ‘Mariam’ to the Busan International Film Festival, South Korea and the film won the first prize. The proud director shared this happy news on his Instagram.
Hamza Bangash wrote on the Instagram post, “I still can’t believe this happened. My feature film debut project, Mariam, has picked up the First Prize, MPA-AFA award at BIFF.” He further wrote, “Super grateful to Asian Film Academy, Motion Picture Association and Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) for this opportunity. Mariam, my feature film debut, is taking small steps into becoming a reality.” So actually there are two films who bagged accolades in this prestigious South Korean International Film Festival, Zindagi Tamasha by Sarmad Khoosat and Mariam by Hamza Bangash.
