Here’s why Marvel’s Captain Marvel will not release in Pakistan
Marvel’s Captain Marvel has been garnering an amazing response around the world ever since its release on 8th March. However, Pakistan didn’t see the release of the highly anticipated film across its cinema houses. While there were delays being quoted, today, Cinepax Cinemas confirmed that the film would not be releasing in Pakistan.
As per news doing rounds, the Pakistani distributor who has been releasing Disney films in recent times is currently undergoing some trouble with the network. “Disney has held back the release of Captain Marvel in Pakistan as the distributor has not cleared Disney’s previous payments,” quoted Entertainment Pakistan.
However, we have found things to be a little different. According to our sources, “Captain Marvel is not releasing in Pakistan because Disney studio relationships for our region are managed by India office, and they are not comfortable in doing business with us in war situation, prevailing between India Pakistan at the moment.”
Therefore with all Indian movies banned in the country, the regional managers will not let Hollywood movies, managed from India, release in Pakistan.
Our source also tells us that if the conditions continue, other highly anticipated films, might also not release in Pakistan. The list includes:

- Avengers End Game
- Aladdin
- Toy Story 4
