Shahrukh Khan first thought “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” was utter nonsense!
Yesterday, the 90s classic hit, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai celebrated 20 years of its success. The film, is a favorite even today. Dharma Productions hosted a grand event to mark the two successful decades of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and the celebrations were attended by the creme de la creme of Bollywood, including the superstars of the film, SRK, Rani Mukherjee and also Kajol.
Talking about the KKHH days at the event, ShahRukh recalled how he did not understand the script for the film at all.
“I never listen to scripts, I listen to the heartbeats of the people I work with. At times, millennial chat with me and say things like ‘why did you let go of that script? That was such a great script.’ Till date, I never understood a script. I can say this with confidence that I never understood a script rather the script-maker or film-maker,” said ShahRukh while talking about what compels him to pick a movie.
“Karan came and narrated utter nonsense to me; which is certainly not the one that finally you people saw in the film. Nonetheless, he tried to impress me with his ridiculous story. So yes, I really did not understand the story when I signed it but I am glad that I did it,” shared ShahRukh to his roaring audience.
