Brad Pitt will be seen driving at British Grand Prix for the upcoming Formula 1 film!
Director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer gave some insights into their new project while making an appearance at F1 Accelerate Summit in Miami on Thursday.
The yet untitled Formula 1 film being produced for Apple Studios also stars Kerry Condon and Damson Idris.
As reported, Pitt, 59, will not actually race against other drivers on the track at the British Grand Prix and the actor will likely drive a “modified version of a junior F2 or F3 car,” rather than the same vehicle used by real-life F1 drivers.
During the panel discussion, the pair revealed they are creating an actual team to race during the British Grand Prix on July 9 as part of production for the film.
We get to know that the actors onboard the film, are already training for the project, while real-life F1 legend Lewis Hamilton is working as a producer on the film and working to “ensure it’s the most accurate racing film ever made.”
The car has been designed by Mercedes and is already being tested.
Sports Illustrated reported back in April that the film will shoot sequences at the race at Silverstone Circuit in the U.K. in July.
While the panel moderator Will Buxton has shared the details of the talks in a series of tweets.
They’ve spent 18 months taking what they learnt on Top Gun Maverick to develop the smallest moveable 6k camera ever designed to take the viewer into the cockpit. A cockpit in which their stars will actually drive. That’s right. Brad Pitt driving an F1 car from Silverstone onwards

Joseph says Frankenheimer’s Grand Prix is his biggest touchstone. Both he and Jerry are determined to make the most accurate, most impressive race movie anyone has ever seen. Oh. And Tom Cruise has already offered to do some extra driving if they need him.
