Kevin Bacon’s ‘Tremors’ Sequel in the Works – But Netflix Series Rumours Are False
No official confirmation yet on Bacon's return

Kevin Bacon’s return to the “Tremors” franchise is a possibility, but not yet confirmed.
Stampede Entertainment, which recently reclaimed the rights to the original 1990 “Tremors” screenplay, announced they are developing a new project that could include a sequel set in Perfection, Nevada, the original film’s small town setting.
They are also exploring one or two more imaginative concepts involving the iconic Graboids in new settings. The producers have stated that the new instalment will neither be a remake nor based on the unused script for “Tremors 5.”
While they are considering ideas that involve Kevin Bacon reprising his role as Valentine McKee, no official commitment has been made yet.
Regarding the rumours of a new “Tremors” series on Netflix starring Kevin Bacon, these have been debunked.
A viral Facebook post claimed that Netflix would release an eight-episode “Tremors” series in August 2025 featuring Bacon, but this information is false.
Neither Netflix nor any official source has confirmed such a series, and Newsweek reported the source of the rumour as unreliable.
Currently, there are no confirmed plans for Netflix to be involved with the “Tremors” franchise.
