New ‘Lord of the Rings’ movies announcement leaves the fans least impressed
The new ‘Lord of the Rings’ movies in work announcement has left the fans least impressed!
Tolkien, and “multiple” new movies set in Middle-earth are in the works, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav announced a day earlier.
Warner Bros. will produce the movies together with sister company New Line Cinema and Freemode, “expanding upon the much-loved world and characters of Middle-earth,” a statement released by Embracer read.
“Following our recent acquisition of Middle-earth Enterprises, we’re thrilled to embark on this new collaborative journey with New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures, bringing the incomparable world of JRR Tolkien back to the big screen in new and exciting ways,” said Lee Guinchard, CEO of Embracer Freemode.
But the original trilogy fans are not happy with the idea!
Warner Bros. announcement immediately upset fans of Peter Jackson’s trilogy, who took to Twitter to express their views.
“I, a person who loves Lord of the Rings, do not think we should make more Lord of the Rings movies,” entertainment writer Esther Zuckerman said in a tweet.

Peter Jackson’s original The Lord of the Rings trilogy has garnered 17 Oscars including 11 in 2004 for the final part, The Return of the King, tying the record for a single film.
The studio re-teamed with Jackson for a trilogy of films based on The Hobbit. The Lord of the Rings franchise takes fans into the mystical world of J.R.R. Tolkien which is full of elves, hobbits, and humans.
The franchise on its own has layers and layers of storytelling opportunities with a plethora of interesting characters and mythology that mystifies viewers.
