Rihanna Drops New Single “Friend of Mine” for Upcoming Smurfs Movie
The film will be released on Friday, July 18.

Rihanna has just released an exciting new single titled “Friend of Mine”, featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming Smurfs movie set to hit theaters this summer.
This upbeat track perfectly captures the fun and vibrant spirit of the film.
The video opened with the star standing in an enchanting forest, surrounded by blooming flowers and whimsical mushrooms, bathed in a soft stream of sunlight.
As she wandered through the magical landscape, holding a flower-shaped umbrella, an upbeat melody from the track played in the background.
Rihanna, whose last release was Lift Me Up for the 2022 film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, made a bold statement in a black leather jacket paired with coordinating cutout bottoms as she strutted confidently.
She then stepped through a doorway into a lively scene of Smurfs dancing to the song, including Smurfette, who swayed to the rhythm and sang along.
“Oh, I think the word here is déjà vu / Just met you tonight but you feel like a friend of mine / You feel like a friend of mine,” Rihanna sang powerfully.
The star repeats this refrain throughout the three-minute track, interwoven with playful clips from the animated film.
