Ryan Reynolds Teams Up with Hugh Jackman and Shawn Levy for New Non-Marvel Film

Specific details about the plot remain undisclosed

Ryan Reynolds has confirmed an exciting new film project that will reunite him with Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy.

This collaboration, however, will not be part of the Marvel universe.

During a recent interview on the Variety Awards Circuit Podcast, Reynolds revealed that he is dedicating the next year to writing the script for this untitled film, stating, “I’m spending the year writing. I’m writing a movie for myself, Hugh, and Shawn to do that is not Marvel”.

This film marks the third partnership between Reynolds and Levy, following their successful works on Free Guy (2021) and The Adam Project (2022).

Reynolds also mentioned that he will focus on writing throughout 2025, which suggests that production may not start until 2026 at the earliest.

Specific details about the plot remain undisclosed, but Reynolds expressed enthusiasm about exploring a fresh and innovative direction for the film.

The announcement of a new film comes on the heels of their recent success with Deadpool & Wolverine, which has become a box office sensation, grossing over $636 million domestically and becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.

This successful track record has fostered a strong creative synergy among Reynolds, Jackman, and Levy, making their upcoming project highly anticipated by fans.
