Spider-Man Spinoff ‘Morbius’ Gets a New Release Date

Spider-Man spinoff ‘Morbius‘ has got a new release date!

As being reported, Sony has decided to delay Morbius‘ ill-fated release amid the ongoing surge in COVID-19 cases fuelled by the Omicron variant.

The film now will arrive in theaters on Friday, April 1 rather than Friday, January 28 if plans remain unchanged.

The spinoff stars Jared Leto as the titular antihero, Dr. Michael Morbius.

The official synopsis for Morbius reads:

One of the most compelling and conflicted characters in Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While at first it seems to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil – or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urges?
