Steven Spielberg sets new film to be released in Summer 2026
‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘War of the Worlds’ screenwriter David Koepp is writing the script of untitled film

Steven Spielberg has announced his next film, set for release in the summer of 2026.
The untitled project is backed by Universal Pictures and will open in theatres on May 15, 2026.
The project described as a “new original event film” will see Speilberg reunite with ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘War of the Worlds’ screenwriter David Koepp.
Spielberg, who does not need much of an introduction, most recently directed “The Fabelmans” for Universal.
The Fabelmans received several Oscar nominations, but it struggled at the box office, earning just $45 million worldwide.
His other film before that, 2021’s “West Side Story,” couldn’t perform well at the box office minting only $76 million globally against its $100 million budget.
Let’s see if this new film could help reclaim the three-time Oscar-winner filmmaker’s crown as the king of summer blockbusters.
