Tom Cruise’s eighth Mission Impossible film is reportedly delayed yet again!

As reported, Tom Cruise’s much anticipated Mission: Impossible, has been delayed due to a malfunction during filming involving a £23 million submarine.

According to the news source, the gimbal, which is used to lower the 120ft-high structure, jammed under its weight and had to be repaired.

Due to this, filming has been pushed back weeks causing the costs of the film to dramatically increase as well.

The 8th film of the franchise was originally set for release this summer but due to delays was pushed back to May 2025, and now with further delays it is unknown when it will hit the theaters. 

As reported, most of the new MI instalment has been filmed in the UK at Longcross studios, with Tom Cruise being regularly spotted in character as agent Ethan Hunt. 

The Mission: Impossible film series, which began in 1996, is based on a 1966 television series of the same name.

Production on the eighth instalment, likely titled Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, already suffered amid the actors’ strike. 

Earlier this month, behind-the-scenes shoot photos went viral on the internet showing Tom Cruise, 61, without a helmet, riding a motorcycle through the main streets of Paris.
