Tom Cruise’s ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ has become the most-streamed film after the 2023 Oscar nomination!

As reported, the sequel to 1986’s iconic hit Top Gun, has now become the most streamed film on the digital platform following the Oscar nominations announcement and still counting.

The film has only been available for streaming since December after debuting in theatres on Friday, May 27, 2022, and it’s still playing months after its release date.

Paramount’s Top Gun: Maverick has clocked 2.4 million streaming views in U.S. households on Paramount+, according to Deadline.

For Oscars 2023, Top Gun: Maverick has earned nominations for best picture, original song, editing, adapted screenplay, sound and visual effects.

Let’s see what’s in store for the top-grossing film as the 95th Academy Awards are set to take place on Sunday, March 12.

Other than Tom Cruise, the film stars Miles Teller (Goose’s son, Rooster), Jennifer Connelly (Penelope), Jon Hamm and Val Kilmer (Iceman).

Yet another top-grossing film, James Cameron’s directorial Avatar: The Way of Water has to hit streaming services. It is scheduled for digital release later this month.
