Vin Diesel Confirms ‘Fast X: Part 2’ Will Film in LA: “It’s Time to Return Home”
The film is directed by Louis Leterrier and features a star-studded cast

Vin Diesel has confirmed that the remainder of Fast X: Part 2 will be filmed in Los Angeles, a decision inspired by recent devastating wildfires in the area.
This announcement was made via Diesel’s Instagram, where he shared that his co-star Jordana Brewster encouraged him to bring the production back to its roots, stating, “Los Angeles needs it now more than ever”.
“Last week, during the fires that displaced LA… my sister Jordana reached out to me and said… Please have Universal film the rest of Fast X Part 2 in LA. Los Angeles needs it now more than ever… Los Angeles is where Fast and Furious started filming 25 years ago… and now Fast will finally return home. All love…”, Diesel captioned his post.

The Fast & Furious franchise began filming in Los Angeles 25 years ago, and Diesel emphasized the significance of returning to the city for this instalment. He reflected on Brewster’s message during a time when wildfires had displaced many residents, highlighting the emotional connection and support for the community.
The film is directed by Louis Leterrier and features a star-studded cast, including Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, and Dwayne Johnson. Although production started last year, the film is expected to be released in March 2026, marking what is anticipated to be the final chapter of the franchise.
