Zendaya is reportedly portraying the goddess Athena in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey

Zendaya was spotted on the Southern Italian set of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey wearing a Grecian-style bridal gown, sparking speculation about her role and her upcoming wedding to Tom Holland.

The scene was filmed on the Aegadian Isle of Favignana, known for its striking caves of calcarenite rock.

The film, a mythic action epic based on Homer’s ancient Greek poem, features an ensemble cast including Matt Damon as Odysseus, Tom Holland as Telemachus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, and Charlize Theron as Circe.

Filming began on February 25 and spans multiple locations, including Italy, Greece, Morocco, and the United Kingdom, with a reported budget of $250 million.
