American Woman Stranded at Karachi Airport After Being ‘Lured for Love’ by Local Teen
Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori during his visit of the airport learned about her predicament, facilitated the issuance of a new visa and a return ticket.

An American woman, aged 33, was stranded at Karachi Airport for seven days after travelling to Pakistan in pursuit of a romantic relationship with a local teenager she met online.
However, the situation took a turn for the worse when the young man reportedly abandoned her upon her arrival, leading to her being left without support or accommodation in a foreign country.
The woman, identified as Onijah Andrew Robinson, from New York, had travelled to Karachi with hopes of uniting with her online boyfriend. However, she faced rejection from his family shortly after her arrival, which compounded her distress.
According to the sources, Onijah Andrew Robinson, arrived in Karachi on October 11, 2024, on a tourist visa valid for 30 days. Her visa expired during her stay, and she overstayed, leaving her unable to exit the country.
Reports indicate that she has been at the airport for several days, struggling to find assistance and navigate the challenges of being in an unfamiliar environment without any local contacts.
As reported, she stayed at the airport for seven days, suffering from a cold and flu, eventually requiring treatment in the emergency clinic.
As Robinson did not hold a valid ticket for the US, she was not allowed to enter the airport premises by the Airport Security Force (ASF).
Local police intervened and sought assistance from the US Consulate. However, consulate officials reportedly did not respond to the situation.
