Authorities Investigate After Woman Slaps Umrah Security Officer at Prophet’s Mosque

A viral video has sparked widespread attention after a woman slapped a male security officer at the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid al-Nabawi) in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

The incident occurred when the woman attempted to use an unauthorized walkway and was instructed by the officer to take an alternative route.

When she refused, she slapped the officer, who then retaliated by slapping her twice. Other security personnel quickly intervened to de-escalate the situation.

The Saudi General Directorate of Public Security stated in a statement that all necessary legal procedures are being followed.

“The department is currently investigating the incident of a woman assaulting a security officer in the Prophet’s Mosque while he was performing his duties and is completing the necessary legal procedures,” a statement read.
