Cher Rejoices Elephant Kavaan’s Release
American singer and TV personality Cher shared her immense joy over the news of Islamabad High court’s decision to free the elephant Kaavan.
Music icon and animals right activist Cher has been actively campaigning for the right of the innocent elephant.
“We have just heard from Pakistan High Court Kaavan is free,” the singer and animal rights campaigner tweeted in capital letters, adding a string of emojis and saying she felt “sick”.”This is one of the greatest moments of my life,” she said.

The elephant came here from Sri Lanka, hence the High Court commanded Wildlife officials to consult with Sri Lanka and find a suitable sanctuary for the elephant.
Moreover, as per the orders of the court, other animals like brown bears, lions, and birds are to be relocated temporarily until the zoo improves its conditions and the standard of living provided to the animals.
