Filmmaker animates himself and girlfriend to pop up marriage proposal
2020 has just begun and Lee Loechler from Massachusetts has won the award for best marriage proposal with the cutest idea ever.
An internet sensation at the moment with over 1.5 million views on his proposal video, Lee proposed his high school sweetheart Dr. Sthuthi David in the most adorable manner at a cinema full of people. The filmmaker, animated himself and girlfriend into Sleeping Beauty to pop the question.
“It’s not every day you get to propose to your High School sweetheart. For the past six months I’ve been working with @kaylacoombs to animate @stutzd4 and myself into her favorite movie, Sleeping Beauty,” Lee wrote on Instagram.
Oblivious to what was happening and she was being recorded Sthuthi was watching her favorite movie as she saw an uncanny resemblance between herself and the princess shown on screen. She was further surprised when the prince resembled her boyfriend Lee sitting next to her. Next thing she knew, the prince from the screen threw a ring box for Lee to stand up and catch it.
“Sthuthi David, MD, will you live happily ever after with me?” asked Lee after telling Sthuthi, a cardiologist, that he loves her with all her heart, including all of its ventricles, atriums, and valves.
Lucky for Lee, Sthuthi said yes and the two had an amazing moment. In any other case, Lee had prepared an alternative end to the video where the seven dwarfs cried if Sthuthi said no.
“The only thing better than seeing the smartest person I know completely dumbfounded was knowing we’d get to live happily ever after together,” wrote Lee who had also hired crowd from Reddit to camouflage Sthuthi and his family, friends in the cinema audience.
