Gulab Jamun declared national sweet of Pakistan!
Gulab Jamun, the brown coloured deep-fried balls of milk powder or Khoya dipped in sugar syrup have been officially declared as the national sweet of Pakistan.
Yes, you heard us right. It was never considered before, Pakistan does have the national game, flower, animal, poet and few other things categorized. But no one has ever thought about it before whats the national sweet of Pakistan.
In Naya Pakistan, the government took it to polls to decide the national sweet for the first time. And Gulab Jamun turned out to be the national favourite. In a pool Gulab Jamun emerged as winner with 47%votes defeating Jalebi 34% and Barfi 19% votes
