Masjid al-Nabawi Hosts 4,000 Worshipers from 120 Countries for I’tikaf this Ramadan
This event highlights the mosque's role as a global center for Islamic devotion.

Masjid al-Nabawi, also known as the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, welcomed 4,000 worshipers from 120 countries for the spiritual practice of I’tikaf (staying in a mosque for the purpose of worship), which takes place during the last ten nights of Ramadan.
Worshipers have been provided with comprehensive services to ensure their comfort and spiritual focus. Medical clinics are available to address any health concerns, meanwhile, full meals are being served for iftar, dinner, and sahoor. Additionally, mobile charging stations were set up to keep devices powered throughout the day.
The organization of the event was meticulous, with designated areas for men and women. Men were directed to the western rooftop section, while women used the northeastern section. Multilingual support was also offered to cater to the diverse group of participants.
The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque managed the logistics and services, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for all attendees.
This gathering underscores the Prophet’s Mosque as a significant site for international Islamic gatherings and spiritual practices during Ramadan.
