Pakistan Association of Food Industries (PAFI), is a newly established body comprising most of the leading national and multi-national food-enterprises operating in Pakistan; formed to officially represent the food-industry of Pakistan.
On the occasion of this World Food Day, all members of PAFI have pledged their individual and collective efforts to the vision of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to Grow, Nourish, Sustain. Together.
Speaking about the pledge, Mr. Irfan Hafeez Malik – The Secretary-General of PAFI expressed his pleasure and stated, “It is a matter of great pride for our newly formed association to pledge our commitments to goals, which have a global impact on the food situation. After this disruption by the pandemic, the food businesses are required to be more actively invest in sustainable food systems and to develop, adapt, and share technologies. Private sector food-related businesses and retailers need to make sustainable food options attractive, available, and affordable.”
PAFI has the highest-level representation of major member organizations, including EBM, Nestle, Unilever, Shan Foods, Friesland Campina, Qarshi Industries, Youngs, Upfield, National Foods Limited (NFL), Tapal Tea, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Dawn Bread, K&Ns, and many more. PAFI works under skilled & dynamic leadership of its Chairperson Dr. Zeelaf Munir, Managing Director of English Biscuit Manufacture.
