Avengers: Endgame has exceeded the benchmark set by Avatar – the highest grossing movie of all times – and made $2.188 billion in merely 11 days of its worldwide release. It took Avatar as many as 47 days to reach that number on box office.
Presumably, Endgame is now set to become the highest grossing movie on box office, and spectators are keenly looking at where Marvel movie will stand after a month or so.
A major chunk of success has come from international audiences, where the grand finale of Avengers series has made over $1.5 billion. The revenue, dominated by China ($511 million) has enabled Endgame to build an undefeated position in a matter of 11 days. Additionally, UK ($89.9 million), Korea ($82 million), Mexico ($61 million), Brazil ($56 million) and India ($51 million) have played a pivotal role in the successful run of the Marvel movie’s last installment.
Albeit that the chances for Avengers: Endgame to topple the decade long Avatar are quite bright, one has to remember that soon the movie will be up against expected blockbusters like Aladdin, The Lion King, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw. It is yet to be seen if the Marvel giant is able to retain its strong standing over the coming months.
