Pakistani artist Arooj Aftab makes it to Obama’s 2021 summer playlist!

Barack Obama’s 38-song summer playlist includes singers like  Rihanna, Jay-Z, Bob Dylan, and Rolling Stones.

Former US president Barack Obama has shared his summer playlist for the year 2021 which featured Arooj’s song “Mohabbat”.

Among the newer stuff, Obama reaches for Georgia hip-hop trio Migos and their 2021 single “Straightenin;” and Drake’s “Wants and Needs,” featuring rapper Lil Baby, from the Canadian’s “Scary Hours 2” EP.

Obama shared the list in a tweet with a caption saying: With so many folks getting together with family and friends, there’s a lot to celebrate this summer. Here’s a playlist of songs I’ve been listening to lately—it’s a mix of old and new, household names and emerging artists, and a whole lot in between.

Pakistani singer Arooj Aftab took to Instagram on Saturday and thanked  Barack Obama for including her song in his summer playlist 2021.

“Well, this has been wonderful to wake up to. Thank you, Barack Obama”, she captioned her post sharing Obama’s photo.

Mira Sethi, Riz Ahmed, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, and others have congratulated Arooj on the achievement.
