Hum Dekhenge: Coke Studio Season 11 is coming up with a bang!

Newly released track ‘Hum Dekhenge’ seems to be another master piece production by Coke Studio, which was originally sung by Iqbal Bano in 1986 at Halhamra Hall, Lahore with the music composition of professor Asrar, the powerful poem of legendary Pakistani poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz.

As this upcoming season 11 of Coke Studio is reported to contain much about the cultural and musical diversity from various regions of Pakistan, this single track sums it up brilliantly with 70 Pakistani singers, musicians, artists bring new life to “Hum Dekhenge”, “One Nation, One Spirit, One Sound”, celebrating unity in diversity, absolutely a song for the people of Pakistan, by the people of Pakistan.

The song also introduces the line up of this season of Coke Studio, the names of singer and musical bands, in order of the appearance are as following: Ariana and Amina, Samu Bai, Krewella, Ali Azmat, Natasha Baig, Ahad Raza Mir, Rachel Viccaji and HaniyaAslam, Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi, Sounds of Kolachi, Khumariyaan, Young Desi, Lyari Underground, Jimmy Khan, Asim Azhar and Momina Mustehsan, Shuja Haider and Aima Baig, The Sketches, Sahir Ali Bagga, Babar Khanna, Kamran ‘Mannu’ Zafar, Fufus Shehzad, Kami Paul, Omran’Momo’ Shafique, Ali Sethi, Riaz Qadri and Ghulam Ali Qadri, Gul Parana and Hassan Jhangir, Sawal Esakhelvi, Elizabeth Rai, Bilal Khan and Mishal Khawaja, Mughal-e-Funk, Abida Parween, Abrar ul Haq, Jawad Ahmad, Fareed Ayaz and Abu Muhammad, Vishnu and Asrar, Humaria Arshad, Nagma Gogi and Lucky Khan, Zarsanga, Mehr, Shahab and Wajiha, Chand Tara Orchestra and last but not the least Shayan Mangal Darehan.

This particular track with the inclusion of all these singers, who are known for their own style of singing, has been made it unique in its own way. It has received more than 30 thousand views on YouTube only after few hours of release. 70 singers singing the legendary track will give you goose bumps!

As this upcoming season 11 of Coke studio is titled as the Explorer, also being produced by young talented muiscians Zohaib Kazi and Ali Hamza. With a glimpse of this particular track, “Hum Dekhenge”, brings about what the whole season is going to be, a sheer promise of celebrating the cultural diversity and pluralism in Pakistan, that too in a musical way.


The timing for releasing this track seems to be perfect as Pakistanis are going to vote on 25th of July and Hum Dekhege, what change will this power of vote will bring in these general elections. Coke Studio Season 11 is reported to be starting officially in first week of August.
