Sonya Hussyn to star in the music video of ‘Kahaniyaan’

Superstar Sonya Hussyn will be starring in ShanyHaider’s music video Kahaniyaan. The video marks the first ever contemporary ballet dance performance in Pakistan, performed by Sonya Hussyn. After back to back hits in 2018 including her performance for the film Azaadi along with the television dramas Aangan and Meri Guriya, the music video for Kahaniyaan also marks Hussyn’s first music video for 2019. Previously the actress was featured in Jawwad Ahmed’s political music video ‘Ye Tera Na Mera’ released in 2018. While sharing more details about the song, her experience on working on the project and what the audience can expect, Sonya Hussyn comments, “Khaniyaan is not your traditional love song. It has a unique pop touch to it and the lyrics very beautifully narrate the untold feelings which we never express. What makes this song unique is that it features a mix of contemporary and ballet dance forms. Something that has never been done before in Pakistan. Working on multiple projects and prepping for the music video was also very physically demanding but it was completely worth it.”Addressing the importance of building and supporting the music industry of Pakistan, the actress comment, “I would like to extend my support to the music industry of Pakistan which is why I have been a part of various music videos. I really hope to see more attention being given to creation of original music in our country especially when the land is overflowing with talent. We as a nation need to give them enough limelight, only then can we create legends and only then can our budding musicians have the opportunity to flourish further.”The song Kahaniyaan is written and performed by Shany Haider. Featuring a one of a kind dance performance by Sonya Hussyn, the music video will be released by Times India. Directed by Haris Qadeer and choreographed by Gohar Hayat, details of when the music video is scheduled to release will be disclosed at a later date.

Currently, Sonya Hussain, is also working on various other projects for both the silver screen and the small screen.
