Ever since there’s speculation of Coke Studio season 12, we are feeling a mix of both excitement and anxiousness. Excited clearly about the promise this grand music show has made over the years with its hits and anxious, if you ask, because how the last season missed a mark for us. For better or worse, we are definitely looking forward to a new CS season, and meanwhile, we have compiled a list of top 5 songs from the show as per our liking.

Is there anyone who dislikes Tajdar e Haram in Atif’s mesmerizing vocals? If we may dare to say, this rendition of Sabri qawwal’s song made us fall in the line with Atif’s fans for the first time.

Paar Chana Dey ft Noori and Shilpa Rao

This song in terms of its composition and lyrics happens to be our personal favorite any day. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea and there may be other better numbers too, but we would listen to Paar Chana Dey on any given day to uplift our mood.

 

Rah e Haq k Shaheedo Season 9

If there’s one CS song that has managed to give us tears and goosebumps simultaneously, it has to be this one. Mainly because this opening sequence of season 9 was late Amjad Sabri’s last performance and also because it touches our soul as a beautiful rendition of Madam Noor Jehan’s classic, Rah e Haq k Shaheedo is among our top picks.
