U2 Coming to Pakistan for a Tour

Good tidings for the U2 fans in Pakistan, as the international rock band is soon coming for a tour of our very own country.

Excited? We sure are.

The news was shared by the Junoon star Salman Ahmed who recently toured the USA, to perform for his fans there.

Salman revealed that the U2 lead vocalist Bono contacted him over an email to share his interest in visiting Pakistan while commending Salman’s performances.

“I have always told people that Pakistani music is at par with international music, be it traditional Sufi music or more modern pop numbers,” Salman Ahmed has shared.

Salman shared his excitement over the U2 interest and plans to extend an invitation soon. World-famous rock star, Bono, of U2, has also congratulated  Salman Ahmad on Junoon reunion concerts.

While talking to OyeYeah, Salman also shared that Bono in a message to him wrote,

“Great to hear you’ve been pulling out all the stops to get our band to Karachi… something we really appreciate. Loved the Junoon reunion.
Your fan, Bono”.

This is a great opportunity for Pakistani tourism and music industry, as for the past few years we have seen some amazing international artists and blogger making rounds of our country. Not to mention the recent royal couple who is stealing all the spotlight these days.

Well, we have our fingers crossed, to bang our heads on some rock and metallic beats soon.
