Report claims that the tragedy was caused by a lack of compliance with safety regulations

At least sixteen people were killed including three Pakistanis as a massive fire ripped through the fourth floor of a residential building in Dubai.

As reported, a fire broke out in an apartment in Dubai’s four-storey residential building in Al Ras on Saturday afternoon.

A Dubai Civil Defence team reached the spot in under six minutes of being notified about the fire.

While Multiple teams were able to put out the fire in under two hours.

The Dubai Civil Defence Operations Room was notified about the fire at a building in Dubai’s old neighbourhood of Al Ras at 12.35 pm on Saturday, Gulf News reported.

According to local media, a preliminary report has been issued about the cause of a deadly fire that claimed 16 lives and injured nine tenants.

The report claims that the tragedy was caused by a lack of compliance with safety regulations.

An Indian social worker Naseer Vatanappally stated that they have managed to identify four Indians, three Pakistanis and a Nigerian woman. 

“So far, we have managed to identify four Indians, including a couple from Kerala and two men from Tamil Nadu who worked at the building, three Pakistani cousins and a Nigerian woman,” he was quoted by the publication.
