Two people were killed after the roof of a house collapsed in Lahore’s Samanabad locality on Tuesday morning. Five people have been rescued from the debris, according to the rescue officials.
Rescue teams reached the spot upon getting the report of the collapse of a building in the in Pakki Thathi locality and started the rescue operation.
Five people, including a seven-year-old girl and two men, have been rescued from the debris, rescue officials confirmed.
According to neighbours, one woman and two children were still trapped under the debris. As being reported, seventy-five-year-old Muhammad Shareef died in the accident.
The teams recovered two bodies from the debris, whereas search was ongoing to recover others trapped in the building.
According to the news source, three families lived in the house on the upper floors of the building, while there were shops on the ground floor.
