26-year-old doctor succumbs to coronavirus in Rawalpindi

Dr. RabiaTayyab, a 26-year-old fresh graduate succumbed to coronavirus in Rawalpindi on April 30th.

The news od her death started to circulate on social media and later was confirmed by the news source.

Rabia was admitted to Rawalpinidi’s Holy Family Hospital. According to the medical superintendent, Dr. Shehzad had complained about mild flu and cough symptoms on April 20 which was declared as a normal fever by the doctor.

Her condition worsened after four days, and she was brought to the Holy Family Hospital, where she was put on a ventilator but passed away on April 30.

She graduated from the Quaid-i-Azam Medical College in Bahawalpur and was due to start her house job from May 1.

The young doctor hailed from Gujjar Khan and was the daughter of renowned teacher Mohammad Tayyab.
