5.1 magnitude earthquake tremors jolt Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday, the second in a day.

As being reported the tremors were also felt in Swat, Mansehra, Malakand, and Swabi and surrounding areas.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the epicenter of the earthquake was Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

The earthquake was also felt in the areas surrounding Peshawar, Malakand, and Chitral. Tremors jolted Sargodha and its surrounding area.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, the earthquake jolted different parts of Pakistan.

Tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Mardan, Buner, Malakand, and Abbottabad among other cities.

According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad, a 5.7 magnitude earthquake hit Tajikistan at around 1:30 UTC (6:30 am Pakistan time). It had a depth of 112km.

So far no casualties, injuries or destruction reported yet.
