5.7 earthquake jolts northern areas of the country including Islamabad and Peshawar

So far, no loss of life has been reported.

A 5.7 magnitude earthquake was felt in the northern areas of the country including Islamabad, Peshawar, Swat district, and North Waziristan, on Wednesday afternoon.

As reported, the earthquake’s epicentre was the Hindukush region.

According to Pakistan’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the depth of the earthquake was 187 kilometres.

So far no reports of casualties and losses have been reported.
