Five members of a Tableeghi Jamaat in Bhara Kahu area of Islamabad have tested positive for coronavirus, according to ASP Hamza Amanullah.
As being reported, a group of 13 people, including six foreigners were sitting in for tableegh in Kot Hathial.
We tested five more people from the group and the results came back positive said ASPHamza, adding that six more people from the group are also being tested.
One of the foreigners had tested positive for the coronavirus earlier. A Kyrgyz member of the Tableeghi Jamaat named Abdul Momin after having a cough issue was brought to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a medical checkup.
The emergence of coronavirus symptoms in a member of Tableeghi Jamaat stationed at a mosque in Bhara Kahu triggered a prompt action by the Islamabad administration and sealed two mosques wherein the group had been staying.
As being reported, last week a group of foreigners also accompanied by locals arrived at Makki Masjid (Mosque) located in Ghulam Muhammad Abad area of Bhara Kahu, situated at some eight kilometers north of the Jinnah Convention Centre Islamabad, for three-day preaching reportedly.
The Islamabad administration has also issued directives to seal Bilal Majid as well as Makki Masjid for the next 14 days as the group had earlier stayed there prior to moving towards the next destination.
