AB de Villiers and Shaheen Afridi expected to be part of Lahore’s next match

Fans of Lahore Qalandar took a sigh of relief after it was confirmed that their captain AB de Villiers’s back injury isn’t serious and he will be fit to take the field in the next game. Furthermore, doubts over fitness of Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has also been quelled. He was rested for the match yesterday to manage his work load.

However, Zimbabwean keeper batsman Brendan Taylor has been ruled out of PSL 4 due to calf injury. The right hander, suffered the injury while attempting a run against Multan Sultans on Friday. Currently, Lahore have 6 international players so no replacement are expected to be signed. However, at the later stages of the tournament, when De Villiers leaves the squad, a replacement might be signed.

Lahore, however can trade for a player during the 48 hour trading window which opened yesterday. An exchange can be made of players in the same category, with their consent, given they have not been part of any XI so far in PSL.
