Ahad Raza Mir has now bagged an international nomination for his role as Hamlet. Mir has been nominated for The Betty Michell Awards for Outstanding Performance By An Actor In a Drama for his portrayal as Literature’s most famous prince.
In an earlier interview Ahad had revealed that he had been receiving a lot of calls for various roles but nothing materialized other than Hamlet. Returning to theatre was more of a personal choice rather than a professional one for Ahad.
Ahad also shared how a brown actor had been chosen to play the most popular prince in literature and that how alternations had been made for him to own the character.
