Ahad Raza Mir wins the Betty Mitchell Award for his performance in ‘Hamlet: A Ghost Story’

Looks like Ahad Raza Mir is on a roller coaster these days, that only goes up! While winning hearts everywhere with his amazing performance in the drama Aangan, Ahad recently put a ring on a fellow superstar, Sajal Aly. Not only did he rope in praises for his acting nationally, Ahad Raza just won hearts internationally by winning the Betty Mitchell Award for playing Hamlet in the Canadian Theater.

Ahad had already been making waves on social media with his stills from his performance in the play, Hamlet: A Ghost Story and has now made everyone proud by winning the award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Drama Category.

When asked about his role in Hamlet, Ahad star revealed that, “Hamlet is particularly an exhausting character. Once the show is over, the cast asks me if I want to hang out and I usually just refuse. I am so drained that all I want to do is sleep.”

The Betty Mitchell Awards are held annually that aim to recognize excellence in Calgary’s Professional Theater Community. The Canada-based Vertigo took to twitter to congratulate Ahad Raza Mir for bagging the award and doing a steller job with the play.
