Rare times call for drastic measures and one such need of today is to indulge in social distancing and avoiding human interaction that might facilitate the spread of Coronavirus. However, in a clear mockery of it’s own imposed section-144, Punjab government recently held an official event with a large number of attendees.
It was then singer Ali Zafar who took it upon his shoulders to address the issue and knock some sense into those who are responsible for not only themselves but millions of others.
Taking it to Twitter, the Channo singer pointed out Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar who was himself part of the large gathering. Alongside was him for Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.
“Sir Usman Buzdar, with the utmost respect it is quite shocking to see this congregation in times when social isolation is an absolute must. You must lead from the front sir,” tweeted Ali.
He added, “Hospitals in Punjab had no clue and we still seem to be unaware of the seriousness of what can happen.”
While urging Buzdar to do the needful, Ali also reminded the CM of the section-144 – barring individuals from gathering at any place – that the Punjab government recently imposed in the wake of Coronavirus.
