APS survivor Waleed Khan is not happy with social media comparing him with Malala

APS survivor Waleed Khan is not happy with social media comparing him with Malala!

Waleed Khan, a student who survived an attack on an Army Public School Peshawar in 2014, has reacted to the ongoing comparisons of himself and Malala on social media.

In a recent interview with British magazine Vogue, Malala was criticized for her views on marriage. Social media users compared Malala with Waleed and suggested that Malala should learn from him.

In a series of tweets, Waleed Khan shared his stance over social media users’ behaviour.

“From a long time I have been seeing images of me and Malala circulating around. I would like to request everyone to please stop this comparison. We can’t uplift one person by degrading the other. Malala is an inspiration for many young ppl like me and millions around the world,” he tweeted.

“Malala’s family has been like a family to me throughout this journey. We should be proud of every person that has earned a great name for Pakistan instead of drawing constant comparisons between them,” Waleed continued.

I also want to clarify that I am living in Birmingham for my treatment and getting my education here. I have always been in awe of the love I get. It’s a humble request to all to plz stop this comparison.
