The mortal remains of Arshad Sharif have been repatriated to Pakistan from Nairobi on Tuesday night on board flight QR 1342, which departed at 1:25 AM for Doha.

Onward flight QR 0632 will leave Doha at 1935 hours (25 Oct) and arrive in Islamabad at 01:05 hours tomorrow night.

According to Javeria Siddique, widow of Arshad Sharif, the burial of the slain journalist will take place at the H-11 graveyard in Islamabad on Thursday.

Senior journalist Arshad Sharif was shot dead in a mistaken identity case, according to the Kenyan police on Sunday.

According to the details Arshad Sharif was killed by police after he and his driver allegedly breached a roadblock.

“Senior journalist and anchorperson Arshad Sharif was shot dead by the police Sunday night in a mistaken identity case while travelling to Nairobi from the country’s Magadi town,” law enforcement officials notified.

 

The news of Arshad Sharif’s death has left every on devastated in Pakistan.

 

 

The 49-year-old award-winning journalist recently featured in the trailer for a documentary titled “Behind Closed Doors”.

According to sources, Arshad Sharif also went to London from Dubai a few days ago after leaving Pakistan.
