This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
Social media in Pakistan was left in frenzy following unverified reports of the death of senior journalist Arshad Sharif who left Pakistan a few weeks ago.
So far unconfirmed reports are arriving on the Twitter timeline, shared mostly by journalists.
“Pakistani journalist shot in head by sniper in foreign country” sure sounds like a military operation to me.

Shot dead. Too young. Too brutally.
Still can not wrap my head around it
Arshad Sharif was too young to die, devastating news for the entire media industry. Got to know him more during our stay in Moscow early this year. I am in pain, I am speechless. God 💔.We disagreed on many accounts but he had always shown highest degree of respect #arshadshareef
